Peanut & Methi Sundal

A South Indian style sundal with roasted peanuts and fresh fenugreek leaves — protein-rich and flavorful.
Sundal is quick to make, portable, and a great protein snack or side.
This traditional preparation brings authentic South Indian flavors to your table.
Ingredients
- •2 cups roasted peanuts (or boiled peanuts)
- •1 cup fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves, chopped
- •1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp urad dal
- •1 dried red chili, curry leaves
- •1 tbsp oil, salt to taste
Instructions
- 1.Heat oil, temper mustard seeds, urad dal, red chili and curry leaves.
- 2.Add methi leaves and sauté briefly, then add peanuts and toss with salt.
- 3.Cook 2–3 minutes and serve warm.
FAQ
Can I use roasted peanuts directly?
Yes — great for crunch; boiled peanuts make it softer.
